Counselling
Natascha Lawrence is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, BC Registered Play Therapist, and Certified Synergetic Play Therapist specializing in the mental health and addiction treatment of children, youth, and adults affected by neurocognitive disabilities including FASD and/or trauma.
With over 15 years of experience, Natascha has experience working with clients across different modalities including inpatient child/adolescent psychiatry, child and youth mental health, schools, community non-profits, and addictions treatment programs.
More importantly, Natascha is a caregiver to an amazing child diagnosed with FASD.
FASD Counselling and Consulting
When Natascha started working as a Registered Clinical Counsellor, she was deeply surprised and disappointed to find that traditional programs do not meet the needs of individuals who have neurodiversities and/or complex trauma.
Natascha founded FASD Counselling and Consulting to provide the services she could not find.
Some therapy modalities prescribe interventions that do not work for individuals with neurodiversities and/or complex trauma, and FASD Counselling and Consulting focuses on meeting clients where they are at and providing interventions that focus on lifelong holistic healing.
FASD Counselling and Consulting, with offices in Vancouver and Langley, and serving the Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley regions, acknowledges the privileged to work on the traditional and unceded territory of Coast Salish Peoples, specifically the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh), Semiahmoo, Tsawwassen, Katzie, Kwantlen, Kwikwetlem, Qayqayt, and numerous Stó:lō Nation
About the logo
Family Advocacy Support and Direction.
The logo represents my family.
Incorporating traditional Chinese symbols of partnership, children, breath, balance, and abundance while honouring Coast Salish art and using colours invoking water and earth, the logo harmonizes all the parts of me.
This is the aim I have for each of my clients.

Coaching
Jill works Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays virtually.
I am a mother, sister, aunt, and daughter born and raised in Vancouver.
I have completed two degrees from the University of British Columbia. An undergraduate degree in Linguistics (specializing in language acquisition in children) and a Master of Arts Degree in Special Education,
I worked for 14 years as an Infant Development Consultant. For the past 11 years, I worked as a Key Worker for the CDBC Program in the lower mainland. I have certifications in STAT (screening tool for Autism in Toddlers and Young Children), Watch, Wait and Wonder, Group facilitation and Developmental Parenting.
I have developed groups for parents, children, and youth. I have facilitated trainings for school district personnel, ministry social workers, and foster parents.
I have a passion for working with caregivers of individuals with FASD. I believe in working collaboratively to expand understanding, help navigate systems, develop support systems, and find appropriate resources. I believe that expanded knowledge of FASD and networking with other caregivers is necessary for families to feel supported and build strength and resiliency.
In my work, I have found that “it takes a village to raise children” is especially true, and I hope to help families find and develop their village.
